Registered Massage Therapy now available!
As an avid runner and soccer player with occasional injuries, I grew up knowing the importance of an effective rehabilitation. It is these experiences that gave me the desire to become a physiotherapist from a young age. Since becoming a physiotherapist, I have taken many post-graduate courses to further my learning. I am familiar with treating a wide variety of injuries from athletic and post-operative injuries to pain that develops as a result of trying new activities or issues that arise from a lack of an active lifestyle.
My philosophy is to involve you as the patient in your own rehabilitation as much as possible through education and exercise, which compliments my use of manual therapy and soft tissue techniques to help reduce pain and restore function as quickly as possible. I graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2010 and prior to that from Redeemer University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology with distinction in 2007. I am registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and am a member of the both the Canadian and Ontario Physiotherapy Associations.
When I am not at work I love hiking in the forest, making things in the kitchen from scratch and camping with my husband and our three children. I am involved in various ways in our church and the kids' school.
After having numerous sports-related injuries throughout my life, I understand the
importance of rehabilitation and manual treatment in order to continue living an active lifestyle.
My own experiences with aches, pains, and injuries led me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in
Athletic Therapy at Sheridan college, graduating in 2023. After completing my degree, I went on
to further my education and develop my manual technique skills by studying massage therapy
at the Ontario College of Health and Technology in 2024.
My approach to treatment involves using a combination of manual and soft tissue
techniques in conjunction with simple stretching and exercise programs. My goal is to assist you
in achieving your own goals, whatever they may be! Along with my strong background in
treating sports and activity related injuries, I also have experience with post-operative
rehabilitation, postural strain injuries, tension headaches, and general relaxation massages.
When I am not working, I am often engaged in one of my many hobbies such as cycling,
hiking, and reading. I love spending time in nature, going for walks with my dog, and being with
friends and family.
